Our Teams

All registered students of Trinity College Dublin are welcome to try out for our Men's and Women's teams. We hold open trials at the beginning of each academic year.

Anyone is welcome to try out for our Men's Club Team and Women's Superleague team including alumni and non-students. Find out more about teams here.

While our Varsity teams are competitive, we also welcome beginners and recreational players through our development squads, fresher squads and social basketball programmes.

Yes! Postgrads and Erasmus students are welcome to try out for our teams, except for the Freshers team which is limited to 1st-year undergrads.

Training schedules and match fixtures are shared at the start of each semester and updated regularly on our Instagram, our Fixtures page and by clicking on each team's individual page.

Our Social Basketball Programme is open to all Trinity students and staff, regardless of skill level. Sign up or find more details on our Social Basketball page.

Yes, a small fee applies for players selected for teams. This helps cover coaching, facility use, gear, and competition expenses. Details are shared at the start of the season.

Absolutely! We’re always looking for volunteers, table officials, social media contributors, and supporters to help us build the Trinity Basketball community. Find out how to get involved here!

The Freshers team is open exclusively to first-year undergraduate students at Trinity College Dublin. Trials are typically held in September—follow us for updates.

Yes! Entry is free for all home games played by our Trinity College teams—Men’s, Women’s, and Freshers—except for Trinity Meteors games. Everyone is welcome to come along and support.

Tickets for Trinity Meteors (our Super League women’s team) are available at the door on game day. We recommend arriving early as these fixtures can get busy!

Yes! We run a variety of events throughout the year including tournaments, fundraisers, and social events. Our Events are open to everyone!  Keep an eye on our Events page and follow our Instagram and subscribe to our newsletter for the latest updates.

Varsity teams are competitive squads that train multiple times a week and compete nationally. Development squads offer structured training for players looking to improve or rejoin the sport after time away.

Yes! We run a Social Basketball Programme open to all Trinity students and staff. It’s a great way to enjoy the sport casually. Visit the Social Basketball page to sign up.
