Our Men’s and Women’s Varsity teams compete each year at the Intervarsity Tournament — a weekend of basketball, competition, and celebration held in Limerick. It’s the highlight of the college basketball calendar, as teams from across Ireland battle it out for the Varsity Trophy.

A great tradition, the Fresher Tournament gives our first-year players their first taste of college basketball. With an overnight trip to Limerick, it’s the perfect way to compete, learn, and get to know new teammates — both on and off the court.

The annual Colours Series sees Trinity take on our rivals UCD across all teams, competing for the coveted Colours Trophy. It’s one of the most exciting days of the season — full of passion, pride, and unforgettable basketball.

Our double-header fixtures bring back-to-back excitement, as two Trinity teams play one after another — often our Varsity and Club squads. They’re great days for supporters, with double the basketball and double the atmosphere.

Our 3v3 tournaments are casual, fast-paced, and open to everyone — with social, elite, and mixed divisions. They’re all about fun competition, good vibes, and great prizes.

Throughout the year, we host and take part in tournaments against other colleges and clubs. These blitzes give all our teams — men’s and women’s the chance to compete, connect, and enjoy plenty of basketball action.

Every year, Trinity Basketball travels abroad to compete in tournaments against UK universities and explore new cities like Edinburgh and Manchester. It’s a fantastic mix of sport, sightseeing, and team bonding.

Every year, Trinity Basketball heads to France for the Les Parisiennes Tournament — an international student competition in Paris. It’s an amazing opportunity to represent Trinity on the European stage and experience basketball with teams from across the continent.
