Men's Club Team

The team is open to anyone who demonstrate strong basketball ability, commitment, and a positive team attitude. You can be a student, alumni or even an external. Players are selected following trials in early Semester 1.

Attend our Men's Club Trials at the start of the academic year (usually in September). Follow us on Instagram or subscribe to our Newsletter.

Yes you can still join the team although it is much harder to do so after the trials.

The Men's Club Team competes in:

• Basketball Ireland Development League
• Dublin Men's Basketball Board Division 2 League
• Dubline Men's Basketball Board Senior Cup
• National Intermediate Cup Competition

We typically train 2 times per week, with matches scheduled throughout each semester. A full training schedule is shared with selected players after trials. There may be games on weekends!

Yes! Our Club team plays against other Basketball Clubs in Dublin/Ireland.  Our Varsity team plays against other Irish Universities. Therefore once you are student, you can play for both teams!

Yes! All eligible Trinity students—including Erasmus and international students—are welcome to trial and play if selected.

No—just show up to trials! If you’re selected, you’ll then register officially as a club member.

Yes! All home games are free to attend, and everyone is welcome — students, staff, alumni, and visitors. Bring your friends and support Trinity Basketball from the sidelines!
