Double-Headers

A thrilling new tradition in Trinity Basketball, our double-headers showcase the very best of Trinity’s presence in the Irish National League. 

These special events feature back-to-back games with Trinity’s Men’s Club Team and the Trinity Meteors Women’s Super League team, 

creating an unforgettable night of top-level basketball and buzzing community spirit.

We hosted our very first double-header on January 25th, 2025, and it was a massive success. The bleachers were packed as supporters 

turned out in force to witness two thrilling contests under one roof at Trinity Sports Centre.

The afternoon tipped off with our Men’s Club Team pulling off an impressive victory against the Phoenix Wolves, who were sitting at the top of the Basketball Ireland Development League standings. The excitement continued as the Trinity Meteors faced off against Liffey Celtics, the reigning Cup winners, and clinched a superb win of their own. It was a spectacular night, celebrating the talent and determination of Trinity’s club teams competing on the national stage.

Beyond the action on court, these double-headers are about bringing people together—students, alumni, families, and basketball fans—

to share in the excitement and pride of supporting Trinity’s teams.

After the resounding success of our inaugural event, we’re eager to host more double-headers next season, giving fans more chances to cheer on both the Men’s and Women’s club teams as they compete in Ireland’s National League competitions.
